The rain took control of the last day and showed why it’s a force not to be underestimated. The sheer force and power, demonstrated why bowlers and batsmen alike shiver in their boots at the very thought of it. The rain claims the little urn and with great pride will celebrate tonight.
Ok enough with the jokes and now in all seriousness, England have retained the Ashes! The Third Test ended in a draw which means the series cannot be won by Australia and therefore because England won the last series they have retained the Ashes.
As an England fan, it’s great news and means that we’ve now won the last three Ashes series which is wonderful. It was a little disappointing that the series is particularly over and we still have two matches left to play. Buy hey, I guess it means I can relax now and not have to worry about the lads throwing it away.
So well done England and hard luck Aussies, better luck next time. Now it’s party time!
